Why isnt Libertarianism more popular?

I dont get it! It's like something for the Liberals and something for the Conservatives.
Seriously, Libertarianism is the best!

Anyway, here are some things Bush has done recently that pisses me off, not including the War in Iraq.
1. Trying to cut billions of dollars for student financial aid so we can instead spend billions drilling for oil in the arctic national wildlife refuge. This is a huge thing at Humboldt right now and everyone should vote against this on november 8th.
2. The Pariot Act
3. The arrest of Marc Emery and attempting to push the "War on Drugs" into Canada and Europe.
4. ... "By 2003 the federal funding for the flood control project essentially dried up as it was drained into the Iraq war. In 2004, the Bush administration cut funding requested by the New Orleans district of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for holding back the waters of Lake Pontchartrain by more than 80 percent. Additional cuts at the beginning of this year…forced the New Orleans district of the Corps to impose a hiring freeze."

your right eric, we should all be on political party, and we should all only have one ruler,and screw elections, the leader should be born into that roll, and he should lead until he dies, and then his kid can rule after him. im just kidding, but seriously, BOO PAtriot ACT! what is liberitatian exactly?

Libertarianism means minimal government concerning all social and cultural interests. We believe that people should be able to do WHATEVER THEY WANT as long as it does not infringe on the rights of other people. For instance, we are against things like government censorship and drug prohibtion.
I think it brings a real sense of personal responsiblity.

ohh ok, yeah i kinda thought something along those lines, i tell you what, if there isnt a lot of government im all for it, this is good, it mixes my concervatism with liberalism. im gonna look into it a little. and if all is good, i might be tempted to switch.

And those Libertarians just love PUBLIC schools. You know, like the one you are attending.

I was considering writing an in-depth response to this, but I am still in shock by the fact that Paula has an lj!
And yes, I like the Libertarian Motto... and I would think that you would too, Paula.
I will be down for at least 3 weeks for the winter. I'm normally too busy and important to care about seeing old friends, but I think I can pencil in some time for Paula, Merl, Carly, and of course, that bitch that ate my sandwich. :-)

Green is great too! I am strongly considering it! I do however like the libertarian's policy on abortion though, "We condemn state-funded and state-mandated abortions. It is particularly harsh to force someone who believes that abortion is murder to pay for another's abortion."
